Recently I decided to see if I could make my own air dry, paper clay to use on some of my paper mache projects.  I ended up with a really great clay that can be used not only for paper mache projects but for many other sculpting projects as well.  It was super easy and inexpensive to make. You will never believe the main component I used to make this clay...a roll of toilet tissue paper. Seriously.  Here's the recipe and instructions on how I did it.

Ok maybe not a gazillion and one but it's close enough.  From one, $1 roll of brown craft wrapping paper I made ornament gift bags for my husband's entire family and had plenty left over.  It's also a great way reuse/recycle old wrapping paper, magazines, newspapers and etc. Once you learn the basic folding construction of a gift bag it is a total game changer.

When I received a lovely fat quarter bundle from the Little House on the Prairie® Andover Fabrics Collection in the mail, the color and patterns made me think of coffee....well in all fairness I'm always thinking of coffee but these really did, ok?
